Madaket charm at its finest! This one-level, 3 bedroom cozy cottage is perfect for small families. Located just one mile from the beach, on a private 1/2 acre lot, one can hear the distant sounds of the ocean at night. With its colorful, whimsical decor, high vaulted ceilings, and bright and sunny kitchen, 5 Arkansas is a wonderful vacation rental; new to our inventory for 2025 season!
First Floor
The entrance is steps from the shell driveway and opens to the hallway, which centers between the living space and the bedrooms. To the left leads to the open sunny kitchen and living area with a gas fireplace and attractive tile detail around the mantle, from floor to ceiling. The bright kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and three barstools for eating at the counter. The three bedrooms are to the right in the hallway; the primary has a Queen bed and ensuite bath with a double shower head and white marble vanity. The other two bedrooms, both twins, are further down the hall and share another marble bath with an oversized shower. Also in this hallway is the hidden stackable washer and dryer.
Outdoor Area
Outside of the sliding glass doors in the living area, leads to an oversized deck that wraps around the entire back of the house. Comfortable outdoor furniture and a dining table and chairs are featured in the warm weather, but not pictured at the time when the house was photographed. To the far right is the enclosed outdoor shower. Off the deck in the rear of the house is a large private yard with an expansive lawn perfect for outdoor summer activities. There is also a small storage shed to the left of the deck for storage, which is also not pictured. One can hear the distant sounds of the waves from the nearby South Shore beaches. A nice walk down the dirt road takes you to the beach and back for a total of one mile- just enough to get those steps in!
