This Victorian inspired Nantucket Main House and Cottage rental on the corner of Cliff Road and Cabot Lane offers a superb location for easy access on foot or bike to Step's Beach, Something Natural, and Town. The house and cottage are connected by a series of brick patios with multiple sitting areas and attractively groomed gardens. This outdoor space is a lovely spot for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails, as well as lunch in the shade of the retractable awning. This property is tastefully appointed as a family summer home...and is not your typical rental house. Please note that September and October rates pertain to the main house only. The cottage may or may not be separately rented / occupied.
First Floor
From the off-street parking area located on Cabot Lane, enter the enchanting back yard via a white painted arbor. Enter the main house via the back door located near the parking area into the kitchen. Immediately to the right is a charming powder room. The country kitchen is well appointed with a gas cook top, center island with stools, a cozy sitting area with fireplace, and front door to a covered porch, where the gas grill is located. Glass french doors lead to a dining room (seats 8), with access to second floor and lower level, as well as french doors to a dining deck with retractable awning and outdoor table and chairs. The spacious living room with fireplace is attractively decorated, and also offers French doors to the exterior dining deck, patio, and lovely gardens.
Second Floor
At the top of the stairs to the left is a Twin Bedroom with TV and private Bath, with glass shower and separate claw foot tub. The nautical bunk room offers built-in mahogany twin bunks with a private bath with tub and hand held shower. The Primary Bedroom offers twins or a king bed, stack washer/dryer in closet, spacious private Bath with glass shower and separate tub, a sitting area, and several closets...along with lovely views of the patio below.
Lower Level
The Lower level offers an extra refrigerator, a full laundry room, a Bedroom with Twins or King bed, TV, and separate entrance, as well as a hall Bath with shower.
Cottage
Enter this charming cottage to a powder room with direct access to a private outdoor shower; a bright and open living/dining/kitchen area with dining for 6, fireplace, and french doors to a pergola-covered patio and gardens. The second floor offers two bedrooms, one King and one single. Both share a hall bath, with claw foot tub and separate shower. The lower level has a Twin Bedroom (sleeps 2) and full bath with shower for spill over guests.
